A museum without walls, accessible to all, to discuss the mental health of young people in a different way.
About
Children Action
A long-standing commitment
It all began in 1995, when Children Action was concerned about the distress of young people at a conference in Geneva on preventing adolescent suicide.
A year later, in partnership with the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), MALATAVIE was born, a care and prevention system dedicated to young people aged 13 to 25 who are struggling to live. With its range of hospital and outpatient care, its prevention centre and its Teen Line available 24/7 (022 372 42 42), MALATAVIE has established itself as a benchmark in suicide prevention.
The impact of this model extends beyond Geneva's borders. In 2018, the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic (KJPP) in Zurich approached Children Action to transpose this approach to the canton. Thus was born the LIFE project, which opens its doors in October 2022, offering tailored care to young people in distress.
In 2023, MALATAVIE joins the Maison de l'Enfant et de l'Adolescent (MEA), a cutting-edge project where Children Action plays a key role in the vision and implementation. This innovative place seeks to reinvent child and adolescent psychiatry, by promoting a close link with the City and cultural mediations, for a less stigmatizing and more inclusive approach.
Reason for being of Muséevirtuel.ch
Our virtual museum is a borderless space, accessible to all, which offers a new way of approaching themes related to young people's mental health.
It aims to be a place of meeting, expression and reflection where art becomes a medium for understanding, sharing and destigmatizing the issues of mental well-being.
This museum without walls offers an inclusive, innovative and inspiring space for exchange.

Museum Committee
The Museum Committee brings together mental health experts, culture and art professionals, committed young people and partners, united by the same ambition: to make art a lever for dialogue and awareness around young people's mental health. Its role is to support the development of the museum, guide its actions and ensure the relevance of its content in order to make it an inclusive, innovative and impactful space for exchange."
